2009 Qianyong Zi Hao Yiwu Dashu Lao Chatou / 2009 Qianyong Brand Yiwu Big Tree Old Tea Head (09乾永字號易武大樹老茶頭)
The mouthfeel is rich and mellow, smooth, and brewing-enduring.
The tea liquor is smooth upon entry, the mouthfeel is rich and mellow, and the liquor color is red, thick, and translucent.
This is an old tea head that possesses a faint ripe tea fragrance. As the tea liquor enters the mouth, the aged aroma slowly spreads throughout the entire mouth. The throat resonance has a special rock sugar fragrance, and at the throat, the tea liquor seems to become even smoother. Old tea heads are extremely brewing-enduring, with very high sweetness and brightness; the more you drink, the better it tastes, and the mouthfeel is even better when boiled.
What is Lao Chatou / Old Tea Head?
Old tea heads are the relatively plump and tender buds and leaves in sun-dried green maocha. Due to the high tenderness and high pectin content, during the pile-fermentation process of ripe tea, they naturally curl or tangle into lumps, forming tea heads. In 2 tons of Yiwu ripe tea, the formed tea heads are less than 150 kilograms. Aged tea heads are tightly knit and fully fermented; they are the essence of ripe tea, with excellent mouthfeel and liquor color.
