Tasting Notes

Appearance & Aroma: The tea cake is tightly pressed. The dry leaves carry a slight smoky aroma.

Liquor & Mouthfeel: The tea soup is orange-red and bright. The liquor is thick, mellow, harmonious, and highly gelatinous (viscous), showcasing good transformation.

  • Taste Profile: The taste has a slight astringency (澀味 sèwèi) that dissipates very quickly, followed by immediate huigan (returning sweetness).
  • Post-Taste Sensation: The shengjin (saliva production) is continuous, moisturizing, and long-lasting. The huigan is deep and enduring.
  • Body & Finish: The tea possesses a rich, layered body and excellent retention. The houyun (throat sensation) is rich, and the chaqi (tea energy) is substantial. The aroma cling (挂香 guà xiāng) on the cup lasts for a long time.
