Fushou Lishan tea is produced in the Heping District of Taichung City, Taiwan (elevation 2,000–2,600 meters). Belonging to the category of top-tier high mountain oolong tea, it is renowned for its "high-cold mineral taste" (高冷礦味). Due to high altitude and pervasive mist, the tea leaves grow slowly, carrying a distinctive fruit aroma and cold mineral notes. The palate is sweet and mellow, with intense throat resonance and rich pectin texture, representing a true treasure of Taiwanese tea.
Characteristics & Terroir:
• Environment: Situated between the Central Mountain Range and Snow Mountain Range, centered around Fushoushan Farm (including surrounding Huagang and Songmao areas), making it one of Taiwan's highest tea-growing regions.
• Flavor Profile: Pronounced high-cold essence, honey-green to golden tea soup, elegant and refined aromatics balancing floral and fruity notes.
• Quality: Thick, plump leaves with high pectin content; delicate, silky liquor with high steep endurance.
• Harvest: Peak quality is harvested in Spring and Winter.
Winter 2026 Roasting Styles:
This winter harvest is offered in two distinct roasting styles, color-coded by packaging:
• Rich Roasted Style / 濃香型 (Gold Bag): Focuses on roasting character and mellow depth. Floral notes transition into warm ripe fruit, honey, or caramel roast aromatics. The aroma is grounded, yielding a warming, deeply substantial tea soup.
• Light Aroma Style / 清香型 (Green Bag): Focuses on floral aromatics and high-cold mineral essence. Aromas are vibrant, refined, and serene, carrying the secluded, chilly mountain air and subtle wild floral fragrance. The liquor is thick, silky, and direct in sweetness with virtually zero astringency—drinking like sweet mountain spring water with a deep, lingering throat finish.
Brewing Recommendations:
Recommend 100°C water, brewing in the standard light-fermentation high-mountain oolong method. Adjust leaf amount and steeping time to personal preference.
