Tie Luo Han (Iron Arhat) is one of the "Four Great Famous Cong" of Wuyi Rock Tea. The tea liquor masterfully blends strength and gentleness, fully embodying a "steely bones, tender heart" character – truly the pinnacle of yángǔ huāxiāng (rock bone, floral fragrance).

The dry tea leaves are tightly knotted like iron, with an oily, dark brownish-black luster. Upon infusion, the leaves instantly reveal "green leaves with red edges" (lǜyè xiāng hóngbiān – a characteristic of well-oxidized oolong). A captivating orchid fragrance, intertwined with a distinct mineral breath, rushes directly to the nasal passages. The tea liquor is a bright and translucent orange-yellow. The first sip is like drinking from a clear mountain spring, with a long-lasting yányùn (rock rhyme/minerality). Even after ten infusions, the spent leaves remain soft and bright as if new.

The yányùn (rock rhyme) of this tea gradually emerges after the third infusion, and a floral-fruity fragrance persists even at the fifth infusion, marking it as a superior grade among zhèngyán (authentic rock) teas. Observing its spent leaves, they are soft and bright like silk. The aroma reveals progressive layers, and the mouthfeel produces a lasting shēngjīn (saliva-producing effect).

It is recommended to brew with 100°C boiling water. For the first five infusions, pour out immediately after steeping; for infusions after the sixth, appropriately extend the steeping time.
