The Tianchi Tea Region is currently the second-highest tea garden in Taiwan, originating from the Huagang Tianchi area at an altitude of 2400-2600 meters (7874 - 8530 feet). The high mountain climate is frigid, with misty clouds and swirling mountain air. With short average daily sunlight, Tianchi tea leaves possess the gāoshān qìxī (高山氣息) - the high mountain essence - of the pristine mountain forests.
Harvested only twice a year, an experienced tea-picking team meticulously and skillfully hand-picks only one bud and two to three leaves. Every single leaf is exceptionally rare and precious. Subsequently, a tea master with profound tea-making experience carefully crafts the tea for 36 consecutive hours, combining the blessings of the heavens, the advantages of the land, and the harmony of human effort. Only then can such a top-tier, precious, and artistic fine tea be produced.
Tianchi tea leaves produce a tea soup that is rich and full-bodied, gānchún (甘醇) - sweet and mellow, smooth, and soft. The color is golden yellow and bright. It possesses the elegant fragrance of the pristine mountain forests, carrying subtle hints of osmanthus and orchid. Rich in pectin, it is a limited-edition masterpiece among the top-grade Lishan teas.
