2024 Dayi "Yuansheng Guchayuan - Zhenpin Da Er" (Batch 2401)
Positioned as a high-end, collector-grade Puer, the "Zhenpin Da Er" (Treasure Big 2) from the "Yuansheng Guchayuan" (Source of Life Ancient Tea Garden) series was produced by the Menghai Tea Factory in 2024 for a 2025 market release. Its raw material is meticulously selected from high-quality, large-leaf, sun-dried maocha from ancient tea gardens in Yunnan, with most trees being over a century old. This is a niche, boutique tea sought after by experienced connoisseurs and is highly recommended.
The tea's most defining feature is the preservation of the "wildness" and layered complexity characteristic of ancient tree (gushu) tea. It offers a dynamic tasting experience: the initial steeps present a high, floral fragrance; the middle steeps reveal a distinct fruit-like sweetness; and the final infusions remain sweet and incredibly durable. As a collector's tea, it has excellent aging potential and will gradually develop richer woody and medicinal fragrances over time.

Dry Leaf: The strips are robust and stout, with prominent silvery-white buds.
Liquor: Bright and translucent golden-yellow.
Aroma: A rich and long-lasting honey-orchid fragrance is primary, with a subtle wild character and light notes of smoke and honey.
Taste & Mouthfeel: The flavor is mellow, full-bodied, and rich. It has an intense shengjin (saliva production), a lasting huigan (returning sweetness), and a very noticeable houyun (a pleasant, lingering sensation deep in the throat).
