TSH says:
A legacy reborn, a classic revisited.
Rich in flavor, thick with sweetness, with a deep resonance and powerful qi.
This product is crafted from carefully selected high-grade Yunnan Dayeh (大葉 - large leaf) variety tea leaves from tea trees at elevations above 1700 meters in the Lancang River basin of Yunnan. It is processed using traditional sun-drying methods, naturally mellowed, skillfully blended by expert tea masters, steamed, pressed, shaped, and dried into a 357-gram round cake. This tea from the classic lineage has bold leaves that exhibit a black-green color with fat buds and are well-formed. The infusion yields a concentrated honeyed aroma with a penetrating wild mountain fragrance. The tea liquor is a golden yellow and clear. The taste is both thick, sweet, and rich, with a deep resonance and powerful qi. This is followed by a sweet smoothness and long-lasting saliva generation. The steeped leaves are thick, plump, and evenly textured. It may be enjoyed immediately, admired for its beauty, or collected for aging, with the promise of even greater quality through long-term mellowing. It is an excellent treasure to share with friends or give as a gift to loved ones.
Overall assessment: The tāng sè (湯色 - tea liquor) is golden yellow and bright; the aroma is a strong honeyed fragrance with a penetrating wild mountain aroma; the taste transitions from an initial intensity to a later sweetness and richness, a long-lasting rocky flavor, a sweet aftertaste and a deep resonance and powerful qi. The steeped leaves are thick, plump, and evenly textured.
