The Dayi 201 Golden Rhyme from the 201 batch of 2012 is widely recognized as one of the best teas of that year in terms of raw materials and blending craftsmanship. It uses tea leaves from the Yunnan large-leaf varietal that have undergone 6-7 years of natural aging at the Menghai Tea Factory. The tea leaves are tightly compressed, and the tea's aroma is a complex mixture of honey and smoke. The flavor is mellow, brisk, and substantial, with a clear emergence of chén xiāng (aged fragrance) and chén yùn (aged essence). The huí gān (returning sweetness) is quick and persistent.
The production of the 201 Golden Rhyme was very limited, with only the top 25 distributors nationwide receiving allocations. After more than a decade of consumption, very few are still in circulation today.
This tea comes from gān cāng (dry storage) and is in excellent condition.
