This is the first iron cake from the "XY Special Green Big Tree Series," featuring old tree material from Xiaguan's Yiwu Zhengshan production. The raw materials were carefully selected from large arbor trees within the Yiwu tea region. The '09 "Green Big Tree" is a well-known and highly reputable tea within Xiaguan's Green Big Tree series, boasting high quality and an excellent quality-to-price ratio, making it valuable for both immediate enjoyment and long-term collecting.
The liquor is soft and smooth in the mouth, with an elegant character, sweet water, and a high fragrance. It has a slight bitterness and astringency that quickly melts away. In the first few infusions, a subtle astringency might be felt on the tongue and upper palate, but it is followed by a fast shēng jīn (saliva production) and huí gān (returning sweetness). The aftertaste is long-lasting, and the tea is very durable through many infusions.
