#2009 Batch 901 Dayi Dragon Column Round Tea
"Dragon Column Round Tea" (Longzhu Yuan Cha) is one of Dayi's representative high-end ripe teas, divided into the "Big Dragon Column" and "Small Dragon Column," both using pure Gongting (palace-grade) uniform material throughout.
The Big Dragon Column is packaged in bamboo-husk columns, with 14 cakes per column.
The Small Dragon Column is individually boxed, with 1 cake per box.
Net weight: 357g per cake. The cake diameter is approximately 15 cm, smaller than the conventional 19 cm diameter, making the cake body compact yet thick and solid; the blend uses pure Gongting uniform material.
The aroma features sweet glutinous rice notes without any pile-fermentation odor (wo dui). Upon sipping, the tea is exceptionally smooth and delicate, exhibiting a classic Menghai style. The tea flavor has moderate intensity with a pleasant sandy texture, drinking exceptionally comfortably. The liquor color is a deep, translucent red, fermentation is moderate, and the spent leaves are brownish-red, oily, lustrous, highly tender, and elastic! Having reached 17 years of aging, this tea is now exceptionally well-suited for drinking.
