The Quality of the 2005 Xiaofa Tuocha
The Xiaofa Tuocha packaging features a camouflage style, printed with the French word "THÉ" and the cursive Pinyin "Tuocha." The dry tea is moderately compressed, the *tuo* shape is round and correct, and the fermentation is moderate-to-heavy. Having undergone twenty years of dry storage in Guangdong, it presents a pure and authentic aged aroma (*chenxiang*), with a prominent caramel fragrance that is rich and long-lasting. The tea soup is bright red and lustrous. The initial taste is mellow, sweet, and smooth.
Xiaofa Tuocha is a tea product that has been recorded in tea history and included in textbooks. It is the benchmark ripe Puer from the Xiaguan Tea Factory and represents a mid-aged ripe tea from a traditional large factory that should not be missed!
Black Label Xiaofa Tuocha
The Black Label Xiaofa Tuocha refers to the 100g round-boxed Xiaofa Tuocha produced by the Xiaguan Tea Factory from 2005 to 2006, which has a black factory logo on the outer box. The outer boxes for 2005 and 2006 are basically the same and do not indicate the production date. However, the wrapping paper is different: the 2005 paper states "Produced by Yunnan Xiaguan Tea Factory," while the 2006 paper states "Produced by Yunnan Xiaguan Tuo Tea (Group) Co., Ltd."
