501 Red Dayi 8582 Raw Cake (501紅大益8582青餅)
The first batch of 8582 raw cakes from the first year after the restructuring of the Menghai Tea Factory in 2005, the tea liquor is translucent orange-red with high glossiness, entering the mouth thick and full-bodied, with relatively high concentration and strength. The coarse and mature raw materials have transformed to produce a charming sweet woody aroma. The tea liquor is moist and sweet as honey, stimulating salivation and returning sweetness rapidly, with a prolonged lingering sweet aftertaste. In the middle steeps, the tea liquor's strength is even more robust, creating a warm and penetrating physical sensation. The aroma presents a complex profile of aged scent, sweet wood, and plum. The liquor feels thick, smooth, and delicate; it becomes sweeter the more you drink, with a continuous, lingering throat resonance.
The 501 Red Dayi 8582 Raw Cake, due to its special blending craft and over twenty years of transformation, brings a rich sense of layering and a strongly intense, full-bodied liquor feel. Compared to the delicately balanced 7542 of the same year, it carries an extra measure of tea charm, making it highly esteemed among veteran tea drinkers. Furthermore, possessing the historical significance of being from the Menghai Tea Factory's first year of restructuring, it has become a popular variety in the mid-aged tea market.
