"Math Cake"
TSH says:
"FT Special Edition, Factory Logo version outer wrapping cotton paper, naturally dry-stored in Taiwan. The dry tea has a dark, lustrous, oily sheen. The storage is naturally on the dry side. Although it's a "pao bing" (loose cake), it's tightly compressed. Even after 20+ years of aging, small pieces of tea cannot be easily broken into thin slices by hand. After infusion, the wild, almost "gamey" aroma on the soup surface is evident. The tea soup has a slight astringency on the cheeks and tongue surface, with good astringency. The refined quality is distinctly different from the coarse, green aroma of the regular 8653. A unique tea energy slowly emerges from the depths of the throat, and the sweetness that accumulates in the throat slowly reveals itself. The flavor is deep and lasting, possessing the characteristics of high-quality aged Pu-erh. It is a mid-stage raw Pu-erh tea from a major factory that is worth collecting.
In terms of aroma, the FT8653 has a more complex aroma profile. The classic Xiaguan honey-floral fragrance is fused with a unique wild camphor aroma. In terms of the water path (mouthfeel and flow), it lacks the coarse astringency of the regular 8653. The clarity of the tea soup is stronger, resembling a wild material (wild harvest) tea.
This tea has several versions of the outer wrapping cotton paper: "China Tea Brand Version," "Factory Logo Version," and "White Cotton Paper Version." However, the tea inside is the same; there is no difference in quality or materials."
